When you rewrite sentences using if,you must:
1- Pay attention to the tenses of the verbs in the given sentence.
2-Use the right type of conditional.
3-Change the sign of the verbs:that is to say; when the verb is affirmative it becomes negative and when it is negative it becomes affirmative.
    4
a-When the verbs in the given sentences are in the present tenses, rewrite that sentencs, using type 2:
If + past simple ---Conditional present.
b- When the verbs in the given sentences are in the past tenses ; rewrite that sentence using type 3:
If + past perfect--- conditional perfect.
1--It is raining so the match will be put off.
-IF it was not raining the match would not be put off.
2-He saw the Eifel tower as he travelled to Paris.
He would not have seen the Eifel tower,if he hadn't travelled to paris.
-She does not work hard so she doesn't pass her exam.
-If she worked hard, she would pass her exam.
-As they didn't listen carefully, they didn't understand the lessons.
-They would have understood the lessons, if they had listened carefully.
