Text:
The Titanic was built in 1912.At that time people said that it was the greatest ship ever. Its first trip was across the Atlantic Ocean. There were many ice bergs in the ocean. Suddenly after a while from the start of the trip the sailors rang the bell; there were icebergs in the front of the Titanic.
“Turn left” the first officer shouted. The ship began to turn, but it was too late. The noise didn’t awake the passengers but Captain Smith woke up. He found that the engine rooms were filled with water, after the ship was collided by the icebergs.
Captain Smith ordered sailors to put the lifeboats in the water. Each boat could carry 65 person but they put only 28 in the first boat. When the front of boat started sinking, there were still 1500 passenger on it. People started jumping in the cold water. They were shouting for help but soon they stopped.
People in the boats were cold and afraid to help the others in the water.
There were 2206 passengers on the Titanic , but only 705 were survived and saved by the Carpathia , a big ship was 93 km away when it heard the call of the Titanic for help.
